Local security specialist, Amthal is revving up an old Saab, purchased for just a penny, for the “Banger to Bangor and back” challenge and help raise money for the Rennie Grove Hospice Care.
Taking place on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17th September 2017, the rally, which starts and finishes at the St Albans based St Michael’s Manor Hotel, will see teams take part in a two day rally, with prizes for completion of daily challenges.
Amthal’s Commercial Director, Jamie Allam and Sales Director Paul Rosenthal, aka Baldies2Bangor, have committed to take part in a black convertible SAAB (purchased for 1p!) and promised to complete the event in “wacky” costumes, with the roof down the whole way to Bangor and back, no matter what the weather.
The team is now looking for corporate sponsors and pledges that all logos will be added to the car, which Paul will be driving for Amthal business, until after the challenge.
Says Jamie: “This is undoubtedly a unique opportunity not only to creativity promote our business and others, but also raise money for the integral work of the Rennie Grove Hospice Care, which is a charity very close to our hearts.
“We have fully committed to the rally and can’t wait to get fuelled up with our faithful Saab to keep us going in Top Gear all the way to Bangor and back! Some say it’s going to be a challenge, all we know is, we need sponsors to support us every step of the way, and promise to make it worth your while.”
