Fire Safety Risk in Business
A new study* has found that one in four European businesses are risking employee safety because of poorly maintained fire systems.
The survey revealed that one third (33%) of customers does not have an up-to-date fire detection record on site in accordance with the law.
However, 86% of customers from across the continent said they appreciated flexible, open protocol systems, which make integration and upgrading of new components easier.
Says Jamie Allam, Commercial Director of Amthal Fire & Security: "Obviously these are worrying statistics across Europe. It is absolutely critical that businesses stay up to date when it comes to the assessment and maintenance of fire safety provision, not least with a duty of care to the staff employed and any visitors to a site.
"The consequences of falling short are not only detrimental with severe financial repercussions, but also legislative. It is always better to be proactive and call a trusted installer to promote efficiency and optimum safety, who can offer advice on upgrade requirements and the very latest solutions available that meet the necessary regulations."
Amthal Fire & Security offers a free site survey to ensure any business has the right fire systems in place to protect staff and visitors to site.
